New Signature Flavours from The Cakery

[Hong Kong, 17 August 2023] The Cakery presents an exquisite new range of enticing signature cakes, reaffirming the pioneering health-conscious bakery’s commitment to delicious creations.

The Cakery introduces four enticing dairy-free flavors to their beloved Cotton Cake collection.

The Cakery introduces four enticing dairy-free flavors to their beloved Cotton Cake collection. The beloved Black Sesame Tofu Mochi Cotton Cake (HK$580) is enhanced with the addition of soft and chewy mochi. The revamped cake combines black sesame as the cake base — a nutritious Asian and vitamin-enriched ingredient that pays homage to the traditional and popular Chinese glutinous rice dumpling dessert Tong Yuen. Pieces of handmade mochi and tofu jelly all scattered between the rich and nutty sesame cream of each pillowy chiffon cake layer, all frosted with black sesame cream and tofu, it’s a delightful choice for lactose-intolerant little ones and adults alike.

The Strawberry Jam Cotton Cake (HK$580) celebrates summer’s favorite fruit, strawberries, in a delicate and spongy chiffon cake beautifully layered with fresh strawberry jam and sweet strawberry cream. Every bite transports the lucky taster to a British summer—the nostalgia-rich cake is frosted beautifully, making it the perfect addition to any afternoon tea.

A tempting Earl Grey Black Sugar Mochi Cotton Cake (HK$580) honors another classic British flavor with Asian ingredients creatively incorporated for a dazzling and delicious effect. The cake perfectly complements the unique smoky aroma of the finest Earl Grey tea with gooey black sugar mochi. Velvety Earl Grey cream and white chocolate ganache complete the elegant dessert.

Chocolate lovers will not want to miss the ultra-decadent Chocolate Hazelnut Cotton Cake (HK$580). The decadent chocolate chiffon cake is filled with a nutty and sweet hazelnut cream, frosted with a luxurious hazelnut white chocolate whip ganache and topped with a dark chocolate drip.

Three new mille feuille cakes join The Cakery’s suite of lighter treats showcasing perfectly golden layers of vegan feuilletage (all HK$288 for 4” and HK$768 for 7”): the Salted Caramel Banana Mille Feuille features crisp pastry layers that are glued together with a sweet banana puree and caramel cream topped with caramelized banana. The Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Mille Feuille (HK$288) is carefully layered with a rich dark chocolate hazelnut whip ganache topped with toasted hazelnut for extra crunch. The elegant Strawberry Mille Feuille (HK$280) is intricately layered with a lovely strawberry jam and silky strawberry white chocolate whip ganache and is topped with fresh strawberries for a luxe touch.

The Cakery's adorable animal collection of four gets two new lovely additions: The cheeky Ptooey (HK$490 - 4") and Rexy (HK$690 - 4") cakes are perfect for children's birthday celebrations. Ptooey is a playful and adorable alpaca-shaped cake covered in high-quality vegan white chocolate ganache, while Rexy has the option to be gluten-free, vegan and/or an organic cake in the shape of an adorable dinosaur. Both cakes will bring immense joy to the little ones, and even the grown-ups won't be able to resist their charm. They are perfect for capturing unforgettable moments and generating social media buzz.

In addition to these new products, The Cakery also offers popular letter cakes and custom cakes. Customers are encouraged to place their orders in advance to ensure availability.

The Cakery’s beloved cupcake collection gains two new tempting flavors (both HK$45): Lemon Tea, inspired by the classic and nostalgic staple drink of Hong Kong, is a vegan earl grey cupcake that brings together subtle notes of aromatic earl grey with citrusy flavors from the lemon cream frosting, topped off with a lemon slice and zest for a refreshing experience with every bite.

The dairy, egg and gluten-free Dream Caramel puts forward a vegan salted caramel cupcake frosted with decadent salted caramel cream and, for extra texture, is finished off with sprinkles of Biscoff biscuits.

Individual slices of Black Sesame Mochi Cotton Cake, Chocolate Hazelnut Cotton Cake and Pandan Mochi Cotton Cake (all HK$60) are now available, all making for a wonderful personal indulgence at any time of day. Petite versions of the three milieu feuille cakes are available (HK$65).
